1. Pangong Lake

2. Khardungla Pass
The Khardungla Pass, also known as Khardung La, is a high mountain pass in the Ladakh area of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the world’s highest motorable passes, at roughly 5,359 metres (17,582 feet) above sea level. “Khardung La” translates to “Pass of Lower Castle” in the local Tibetan language.
This pass is strategically important since it connects the Leh region to the Nubra Valley, which is to the north. Historically, it was a significant trading route between Leh and the regions beyond, including central Asia. Today, it is still an important artery for civilian and military transit in the region.
3. Magnetic Hill
Magnetic Hill, located near Leh in India’s Ladakh region, is a remarkable natural phenomenon that has piqued the interest of tourists from all over the world. Also known as the “Gravity Hill,” this optical illusion makes it look like automobiles can defy gravity and roll uphill on a specific stretch of road.
The Magnetic Hill is located on the Leh-Kargil-Baltic National Highway, approximately 30 km from Leh. What makes this location so appealing is the optical illusion generated by the surrounding nature. While the road looks to be trending uphill, it is actually a downhill slope. The surrounding scenery, which includes mountains and hills, provides a visual illusion that leads the human eye to see the road as an uphill slope.
4. Nubra Valley
Nubra Valley, often known as the “Valley of Flowers,” is a breathtaking destination located in India’s far north, in the Ladakh district of Jammu and Kashmir. Nubra Valley, known for its spectacular natural beauty, stark desert landscapes, and colourful culture, is a haven for travellers looking for adventure, tranquillity, and cultural immersion.
Nubra Valley, located at an average elevation of roughly 3,000 metres (10,000 feet) above sea level, is flanked by the towering peaks of the Karakoram and Ladakh Ranges, which provide a dramatic background for its stunning beauty. The valley is formed by the convergence of the Nubra and Shyok rivers, which carve their way through the steep terrain, leaving behind fertile oasis and verdant patches of land amidst the desert.
5. Lamayuru Monastery
Lamayuru Monastery, also known as Yuru Gonpa, is a well-known Buddhist monastery hidden in the stunning terrain of Ladakh, in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. Lamayuru Monastery, located at a height of approximately 3,510 metres (11,516 feet) above sea level, is one of the oldest and largest monastic establishments in Ladakh, with a history spanning over a thousand years.
The monastery is set atop a hill overlooking the lovely village of Lamayuru and the surrounding lunar-like terrain, which is marked by rocky mountains, deep gorges, and eroded rock formations. Its strategic location on the old Silk Route, which connects India and Central Asia, made it an important stop for traders and travellers going through the region.
6. Diskit Gompa
Diskit Gompa, also known as Diskit Monastery, is a well-known Buddhist monastery in Ladakh’s Nubra Valley, in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Diskit Gompa, one of the region’s largest and oldest monasteries, dates back to the 14th century and is located atop a hill overlooking the scenic valley.
The monastery is associated with the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism, often known as the Yellow Hat sect, founded by Je Tsongkhapa in the 15th century. Diskit Gompa is the Nubra Valley’s headquarters and has a considerable impact on religious, cultural, and social life in the region.
7. Shikara Ride on Dal Lake, Srinagar
A Shikara ride on Dal Lake transports you to a world of breathtaking beauty and peace. It’s a breathtaking lake with stunning vistas of snow-capped mountains, picture-perfect sunsets, floating gardens, the soothing sound of birds chirping, and much more. Sailing through the sea in a beautifully decorated Shikara (boat) is an unforgettable experience. Shikara rides also take you to traditional and picturesque houseboats. 10. A stroll at the Tulip Garden
Treating your senses to a lovely world of a broad range of colourful tulips at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar is an unforgettable experience in Kashmir. The fresh air, majestic mountain peaks, liveliness, and smell make it even more appealing. The garden, which includes 68 species of tulips as well as other flowers, has been named Asia’s largest such park by the World Book of Records (London). A leisurely walk through this garden with 15 lakh tulips is an unforgettable experience. The garden covers 30 hectares and is located between Dal Lake and the Zabarwan Hills.
