Built in 700 AD by King Rajasimhavaram of the Pallava dynasty, the structure has Dravidian architecture and a unique 16-sided Shiva Lingam made of black granite.

2. The Parameswara Vinnagaram (Vaikunta Perumal Temple)

was built by Pallava monarch Nandivarman (731–796 AD) in the 8th century.

3. Ekambarnatha Temple (also known as Ekambareswarar Temple)

Designed by Narasimhavarman II between 700 and 728 AD, the temple stands out for its spherical sanctuary, a unique feature in the region.

9. Piravathaneswara Temple

Unique architectural feature: the smallest of the Rajasimha series, notable for its panels depicting Jaladhara, Durga, and Gajalakshmi.

10. The Iravathaneswara Temple (Muketeswara Temple)

Muktheeswara Temple is noted for its Gajathika, Nataraja, and other panels inside the Ardha Mandapa, as well as its gorgeous pillars. All three sides of the sanctum’s outside wall are heavily carved with statues.
