After breakfast leave for Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs (vale of Kashmir). It is a 3 hours journey. On the way visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulpher spring. Bat village and apple orchids. Pahalgam is the most famous place for the Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the natural charm of the valley. In the evening, enjoy the music of running water of river lidder and spend a few hours in the evening on the back of the river.

After breakfast, I drove to Srinagar. Check in at the hotel and after a quick refresh leave for Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif

Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms respectively. Also visit the botanical garden, Royal Spring, Pari Mahal. Enroute visit a carpet-weaving factory. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.

 

After breakfast drive towards Sonmarg which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar and it takes 3 hour’s drive on the way. On the way we stop at many beautiful spots for sightseeing and photography. Continue to drive to Sonmarg 2690 Mtrs (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year and Sonmarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh. Evening drive towards Srinagar
